Petr Doležel Seminary Fund

Petr
Doležel came to trust and know God as Father in July of 2004 at an English Camp provided by the Liberec Církev bratrská [Brethren Evangelical Free Church] and the Kenosha Bible Church. He was 15. Since then Petr has grown in his faith and knowledge of God, has grown to be a respected servant leader and occasional speaker among youth groups in this nation, and has assisted us in planning and leading every English Camp since then, including two last summer.

Now Petr has been called of God to prepare for a lifetime of pastoral and evangelistic work in this nation. But Petr has no Father or mother to support him in this. He lives with an aunt.  I  believe it is my duty to  raise the  educational costs for Petr to attend the Evangelical Theological Seminary in the fall of 2008.  The annual costs will  be about $4,000. In the USA that cost would just six to ten times that figure.

If you would like to participate Petr's life preparation to serve here, you can send gifts to First Live International, for the Petr Dolezel Serminary Fund. Thank you. Dan and Nancy

The 12 X 120 Team

In Acts chapter one Jesus used 12 apostles and 120 praying friends as the keys to plant the church in Jerusalem. We [Dan and Nancy] are asking God to supply twelve praying/giving churches and 120 praying/giving friends as the keys to plant the church in Svitavy.

Our team is up to eleven churches - we are seeking twelve partner congreagations. And the 120 part of the 12X120 Team is up to sixty who give monthly or quarterly, with a total of about 100 who give in some way during a year. Nancy and I thank each of you.

If you have considered being on this prayer and support team, this would be a good time to act on it.

The value of the dollar keeps dropping - dramatically. The American dollar lost twenty percent of its value in Europe and the Czech Repblic in the last six months, and lost 35% in a year or a little more. Your gifts are converted here to Czech crowns. Eighteen months ago the American dollar was worth about 25 Czech korona or crowns. Today a dollar only yields about 17.5 crowns. Here is a chart.

1. Churches give to us through First Love Int'l
2. Most friends and churches send monthly gifts, a few quarterly
3. Several provide seasonal special gifts at Christmas and Easter
4. Some adopt a special project, such as the car, Bibles, books, CDs, and crafts
5. Through Fidelity or United Fund
6. Matching gifts through work...
7. Tithe an inheritance...
8. Gift from sale of land...
9. Gift from Income tax return...

The most important thing is that you obey the Lord and do what the Spirit prompts. Whether with regard to us or in giving to other mission projects, please do not delay and talk yourself out of obedience. You will know your greatest joy in the Lord with ready and immediate obedience.
